This course is designed for teachers and educators who want to use video more effectively, including:

• Language teachers working with teenagers and adults
• Teachers of film and media studies
• Upper primary teachers of first-language English students
• Materials writers and course designers

This course is ideal for teachers who have at least some freedom in the classroom to try new things.

It might not be right if:

• You're required to stick closely to a course book or fixed syllabus.
• You're not looking for new ideas or ways to structure your lessons.
• You're not keen on experimenting or stepping outside your usual routine.

Each of the eight units takes about 60 minutes to complete. You’ll need a bit more time if you choose to try the challenges and activities with your students. The two online workshops last 90 minutes each.

The two online workshops will be scheduled based on a poll to find the best time for you.

Don’t worry if you are in a tricky time zone – I’ll make sure we find a slot that works for you.

The rest of the course is self-paced, so you can work through the units in your own time, on your own schedule.
